Champion CEO Named Chair of Contractors Organization
Gary Benjamin will lead AGC during 2010.
Gary Benjamin, chief executive officer of Champion, Inc., has been elected chair of the Associated General Contractors of Michigan for 2010. He began his responsibilities at the AGC of Michigan annual meeting January 29 in Detroit.
Champion, Inc., is the parent company of Gundlach Champion and is headquartered in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
"Michigan's construction industry is ready to build a new chapter in our state's history, whether it is alternative forms of energy or advanced manufacturing," Benjamin said. "Our contractors and skilled construction workforce are among the best in the nation and we look forward to building a better Michigan."
Benjamin joined Champion in 1970 and is the current president of the Wisconsin Ready Mix Concrete Association and an active member of the Iron Mountain Rotary Club, Chippewa Club, and the American Martyrs Church.
