Gundlach Champion and Cliffs Natural Resources (formerly Cleveland-Cliffs) have a partnership that has existed for more than 40 years. Project locations include the Empire Mine and Tilden Mine, located in Marquette County (Michigan), and the Hibbing Mine and LTV Steel in northern Minnesota.

Gundlach Champion has accomplished a range of projects, including precipitator maintenance, rail car loading facilities, super pocket structures, along with specialty coating work. Gundlach Champion is a Cliffs Natural Resources preferred contractor and has completed projects totaling more than $50 million.
